Las obras will be exhibited at the Centro Municipal de Abando until April 15th and will then travel to other district centers until June.
Expodistrito, the cycle of decentralized temporary exhibitions organized by the City Council of Bilbao, hosts in its spring edition an exhibition in homage to K-Toño Frade, Juan Antonio Frade Villar, which brings together a comprehensive retrospective of the graphic works of the Bilbao artist.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the author’s birth, a group of people from K-Toño’s circle has launched this project where works donated by numerous individuals and entities can be seen, under the coordination of the editorial label Bilbao Gloria Mundi, as reported by the Bilbao City Council.
The Councilor for Culture and Governance of Bilbao, Gonzalo Olabarria, as well as a representation of K-Toño’s friends and project promoters, have been in charge of presenting the exhibition on Wednesday at the Centro Municipal de Abando.
The works of the Bilbao artist will be on display from April 2nd to 15th at the CMD de Abando and will then travel to other Municipal Centers such as San Francisco (April 29th to May 13th), San Inazio-Ibarrekolanda (May 15th to 29th), Castaños (June 2nd to 13th), and Otxarkoaga (June 17th to 30th). The exhibition is free to access and can be visited in the morning and afternoon.
The official inauguration of the exhibition will take place at 7:00 p.m. this Thursday at the Centro Municipal de Abando, with the presence of the Mayor of Bilbao, Juan Mari Aburto, project promoters, as well as institutional and Bilbao society representatives. During this meeting, a visit to the exhibition will be conducted to commemorate the work of the Bilbao artist who passed away in 2018.
