ROCK AND CLASSIC CARS COME TOGETHER IN BILBAO: THE BBK BILBAO MUSIC LEGENDS FEST CELEBRATES ITS «WARMING UP» WITHIN THE 1ST EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL ART ON WHEELS VILLA DE BILBAO
- This Saturday, June 7, 2025, Bilbao will experience a unique day where the passion for historic vehicles and the great anthems of legendary music will share the spotlight on the city streets.
- It will be the first time in Bilbao that a music group performs live while a tour bus is in motion, marking a unique milestone in the cultural agenda of the city.
The BBK Bilbao Music Legends Fest will celebrate its traditional «Warming Up» on Saturday, June 7, as a prelude to the main festival, which this year is part of the programming of the International Festival Art On Wheels, an event that will take place from June 6 to 8 in Bilbao.
The «Warming Up» will consist of a traveling show on a two-story tour bus from Bilbobus, where from the open top deck the local band Bwatzabal Band will liven up the streets with live music, performing great rock anthems while touring the city center. It will be the first time in Bilbao that a music group performs live while the bus is in motion, marking a unique milestone in the city’s cultural agenda.
The two-story bus will be present throughout the day, and at 7:30 pm, it will join the grand parade of vehicles with two and four wheels that will start at the Teatro Arriaga and pass through Plaza Circular, Plaza Moyua, and Sagrado Corazón thus traveling along the Gran Vía of the city.
The organization encourages citizens to come to the center of Bilbao throughout the weekend to enjoy this unique musical proposal on wheels, which promises to fill the streets with rhythm, and to admire authentic motor gems up close, as it would be impossible to enjoy these classic relics up close outside the framework of the International Festival Art On Wheels.
This free and open to all proposal aims to bring live music to the streets and create an atmosphere in the city a few days before the official start of the BBK Bilbao Music Legends Fest. The «Legends», which will be held next weekend, on June 13 and 14 at the Bilbao Arena, features a lineup headlined by iconic names such as Alan Parsons Project, Blue Öyster Cult (exclusive date in the State), The Dead Daisies (exclusive date in the State), Lita Ford, Samantha Fish, and Errobi, among others.
The collaboration between the BBK Bilbao Music Legends Fest and the Festival Art On Wheels highlights the shared value of celebrating the classic legacy, both in the world of motor and in the world of music. Two universes that connect history, nostalgia, and culture, offering citizens a unique opportunity to enjoy Bilbao as a great open-air stage.
The International Festival Art On Wheels Villa de Bilbao includes activities such as the International Elegance Competition, the International Congress of Automobile Clubs II, the Rally Villa de Bilbao – Torre Loizaga, tribute to the historical figure of motorcycling Santiago Herrero, the exclusive presentation of a fuel of the future for cars of the past, and an impressive exhibition of classic and sports vehicles (with two and four wheels).
The collaboration between the International Festival Art On Wheels Villa de Bilbao and the BBK Bilbao Music Legends Fest reinforces the cultural programming of the city and expands the reach of both events, attracting thousands of visitors to the city.
