The neighborhoods of Bilbao host more than a hundred cultural activities this spring, including dance, clown, street theater, magic, music, and Basque folklore.
The City of Bilbao will organize various cultural activities this spring that will take place in the streets and squares of the neighborhoods of the city. Over a hundred events open to all audiences, most of which are free, make up a wide range of outdoor leisure activities aimed at promoting and enjoying culture among the residents of Bilbao.
These events will reach all districts during the months of May and June, encompassing various artistic disciplines such as dance, street theater, Basque folklore, music, and clown performances. The different activities are grouped under programs such as «Udaberriko Bertso Saioak,» «Magiaren Topaketak,» «Musikauzo,» «Bilboko Dantzaguneak Kalera,» «Santutxu Kolorea,» «Clown Zorrotza,» «Dantza Plazetan,» «Ibaiondo Dantzan,» «Musika Dibertigarria,» and «Bilboko Zirkuitua.»
In addition to these outdoor events, programs like «Musika Dibertigarria da/La música me divierte,» which will take place at the Bertendona Institute, and «Bilboko Zirkuitua,» with an itinerant program in the different District Municipal Centers, will also be included.
Detailed information about each program can be found at this link.
These initiatives will be held over the coming weeks until the start of summer when the BILBOKO KALEALDIA festival will begin, along with a program specifically designed to enjoy the summer months.
Bringing cultural activities to all districts and neighborhoods of Bilbao is one of the goals outlined in the Bilbao Culture Strategic Plan 2023-2033, along with promoting the talent of local artists. These ideas have helped drive the municipal cultural agenda that will fill the squares and streets of Bilbao with cultural activities this spring.
