Las Juntas Generales de Bizkaia will host an exhibition by 16 students from the EHU’s ceramics master’s program called «Esas otras formas» until August 31. The exhibition opened on Thursday at the Exhibition Hall at the headquarters in Bilbao.
The Juntas Generales de Bizkaia explained that «the exhibition presents a collection of personal proposals, arranged in a suggestive dialogue, exploring the infinite possibilities of clays and ceramic procedures.»
The president, Ana Otadui, presided over the inauguration of the exhibition, which marks the end of the temporary exhibitions at the regional Parliament until after the summer.
Otadui expressed that the work «surprises with its great creativity» and that in the pieces «there is material, fire, technique… but there is also emotion, thought, memory, and a strong willingness to engage in dialogue with the volume and limits of this material.»
The exhibited works are the result of a «multicultural group from various places in Europe and Latin America.» According to the master’s director, José María Herrera, the displayed works «show a creative autonomy and a search for their own territories, combining seemingly fragile materials with solid creations where the three-dimensional supports the ideas of the devices.»
«Esas otras formas» can be visited until August 31 from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 20:00 at the Exhibition Hall of the Juntas Generales de Bizkaia, with free admission.
