Nico Williams quiere continuar dejando su huella en el Athletic Club, con el cual ha sellado hoy en San Mamés un compromiso sólido, renovando su contrato hasta el 30 de junio de 2035, el acuerdo más extenso de la plantilla. Esta extensión de ocho años sobre su contrato anterior fue rubricada esta tarde en compañía del presidente, Jon Uriarte, el director general de Fútbol, Mikel González, y su hermano y capitán, Iñaki Williams. En el evento también estuvieron presentes su madre, María Arthuer, embajadora en el 125 aniversario del Athletic Club, y sus amigos, quienes le tenían preparado un regalo sorpresa en forma de cuadro.
