Seis orquestas de prestigio internacional debutan en el Festival Musika-Música

  • A total of 70 performances and over 1,500 performers will come together during the days of March 7, 8, and 9 in the various halls of the Palacio Euskalduna.

The Musika-Música Festival, which will take place in Bilbao on the upcoming days of March 7, 8, and 9, will host concerts by six internationally renowned orchestras from Spain and various parts of Europe, performing for the first time at the Festival. In total, there will be 70 performances across the different stages of the Palacio Euskalduna.

The Auditorium will welcome the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, which hasn’t performed in the peninsula for 15 years. During their performance in Bilbao, the orchestra will play Beethoven’s «Coriolan» overture, Grieg’s «Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in A minor,» and Tchaikovsky’s «Patética.»

Hall 0B will feature concerts by orchestras such as Festival Strings Lucerne, a Swiss string ensemble known for their virtuosity and versatility; Nereydas, specializing in baroque music played on period instruments; Café Zimmermann, renowned for their interpretations of Johann Sebastian Bach; Ensemble Diderot, experts in early Baroque repertoire, and the Baroque Orchestra of Freiburg, one of the most admired in the early music scene; and the chamber group Esemble OBNI.

Hall 0D will host debutante chamber groups like Meccore String Quartet, Quartetto di Cremona, Singer Pur, Trio con Brio Copenhagen, and Simply Quartet, performing works by composers like Wolf, Brahms, Noskowski, and Reger.

Among the solo debut performers, notable names include pianist Martín García García, oboist Cristina Gómez Gody, violinist Elinor D’Melon, clarinetist Pablo Barragán, and soprano Ana Quintants, among others.

TICKET SALES

Tickets for the 24th edition of the Musika-Música Festival are available at the box office and website of the Palacio Euskalduna, on the website musika-musica.bilbao.eus, and at the box office of the Teatro Arriaga only for the opening concert.

Ticket prices are as follows:

  • Teatro Arriaga and Auditorium of the Palacio Euskalduna: 15 euros
  • Hall 0B: 12 euros
  • Halls 0D, 0A, and 0C: 9 euros
  • Hall 0E: 8 euros
  • Kiosk: 4 euros
