Designed with breathable AerTek fabric, this kit is a bold reinvention of the traditional blue uniform of the lions. Without ‘Valentía -the motto that accompanies this kit-, Athletic Club wouldn’t be who they are. And bravery is shown at high sea, when the storm rages and the waves threaten to sink the ship. It is then that bravery becomes the value of values. Like in the 1930s, when the Civil War destroyed a dream team and they had to start from scratch. Or like when the Bosman Law changed football forever from top to bottom.
If last year Athletic Club brought out La Gabarra and this season is going to play in the Champions League, it is because they faced difficult moments, which always lurk, with bravery, #BetiAusart, #BraveryNeverStops, without giving up their identity, #UniqueInTheWorld. And their first jersey will be red and white, yes, and the second will be blue, the color that has always accompanied the Club since its inception. The Bilbao blue; the blue of the sea, sometimes murky, sometimes crystalline; the blue of the sky, sometimes cloudy and leaden, sometimes clear and radiant. But always in its place, brave, like Athletic Club.
From the first half blue half white jersey, to the «Haria», «Heritage», which commemorated the 125th anniversary, Athletic Club has worn blue on numerous occasions. In 1969, it wore an all-blue uniform for the first time, which became the color of the second kit until 1995. This was repeated between 1998 and 2005, and in the seasons 2008/09, 2010/11, 2013/14, 2018/19, 2023/24 and 2024/25.
