After several seasons collaborating with Surne Bilbao Basket, BBK has now become a strategic partner. This marks another step in the collaboration between both entities. This historic agreement allows the club to clear its old debt and meet its commitments with creditors. It marks the beginning of a new cycle for Surne Bilbao Basket, enabling them to allocate more resources to the project.
BBK and Surne Bilbao Basket have been working together for years to grow the club at all levels. This is evidenced by their commitment to the youth teams and their involvement in the foundation’s social activities.
BBK, leveraging the knowledge of its research department, aims to monitor Bizkaia’s main needs and how to meet them while maximizing the social impact of its actions. This strategic alliance is a dividend of their social work, primarily directed towards all those who are part of the basketball or sports family: players, fans, or any stakeholders who feel proud, as they have this year, of the achievements of Bizkaia’s main basketball team.
This new collaboration will provide Bilbao Basket with a level of solvency that will allow them to not only root the project in the city but also continue growing in social, institutional, and sporting ambition.
This agreement will be officially unveiled this Friday, May 30th, in the match against Barcelona (18:30 hours), which will also celebrate BBK’s 10th anniversary as a banking foundation.
